Kulturisimo @ Christoffelpark and Savonet Museum

On Saturday September 25th Christoffelpark and Savonet Museum will join the Kulturisimo activities organized by the Curacao Tourist Board (CTB) and Kas di Kultura by organizing a special activities day at both attractions. All entrance fees will be reduced on this day; Christoffelpark's entrance fee will be Naf.5 pp and Savonet Museum's entrance fee will also be Naf.5. Of course we will be organizing the 1-hour pickup safari for Naf.10 and we will have a Boka Grandi hike for those interested in a guided trip.
Both Christoffelpark and Savonet Museum will be open from 07.30-16.00 on this day. Reservations for the pickup safari are encouraged.

Savonet Museum opens its doors Sept.14

Savonet Museum will open its doors for the general public on Tuesday September 14 2010. After months of preparations, a soft-opening and several guided preview tours the museum will finally be accesible for the general public. Visitors should take into account that there is a seperate entrance fee for the museum besides the normal entrance fee to the park. If visitors want to visit both the museum and the park on the same day they will get a special entrance fee.

Scheduled opening Savonet Museum

The soft opening of the Savonet Museum for financers and other invitees was scheduled to be on May 18th 2010, International Museum Day. This soft opening of the Savonet Museum doors was a closed ceremony for invitees. In the month of June the doors will be officially opened for the public who can then take a first peek at the new exhibitions in the former plantation house and surrounding buildings. The cultural history part of the museum will first be opened, the natural history department will open later in 2010.
The general opening for the public is now planned for the end of June!

Savonet Museum on facebook

Following in the footsteps of Christoffelpark, Savonet Museum now has its own facebook page. Up till now the page reached almost 400 fans, without advertising its whereabouts. The page will be used to post up to date information concerning the museum, its personnel, new activities and future exhibitions as well as pictures of its interiors and the work being done.
We hope to reach a wide variety of public with these uploads and to ensure a loyal fanbase.
